Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great portable tuning instrument!!! I purchased the HH374 about 3 months ago to as a tuning aid for my UTV/ATV DYNO and has been one of the best tuning tools I have ever purchased.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not as accurate as the old HH506RA I compared with HH506RA with same probes in ice bath and boiling water. Set offset to compensate for bias error, but HH374 still had a 1C error at the other end of the scale. No way to compensate for that. Design is really nice. UI is easier than the HH506RA's. However, the binary serial interface of the HH374 can lock up. In this case, there's no recovery except to power cycle the HH374, which means unattended operation is not possible. Also, very sensitive to power supply. Readings shifted by >1C when run on the AC adapter.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Thermometer REview This is a great and versatile thermometer. My unit came with cheap non Omega temperature probes. The last one I purchased had the probes pictured in the advertising. I prefer the probes that are pictured with the thermometer because they can be easily stored by winding the cords onto their built in spool. PC interface works good. My unit came with a 2 moth old calibration certificate. I would buy again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good product Purchased the unit several years ago and it still works great. However, I lost the software and have been requesting a new copy, or information on how to get a new copy, to no avail.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice functions, but some issues In using the HH374 we found that the unit can be impacted by radiated noise for other systems in close proximity to the unit. Built a small shield, grounded it, and made sure not to touch in order to get stable information/data.

I am trying to disable the auto power off mode. I went trough the manual procedures on holding the Hold button down before turning on the unit. There is no Auto Power Off symbol that appears on the screen. How do I make sure the unit does not power down?

Asked by: BtngFn1999
The symbol that appears when you power up the meter normally will not be there if auto power off is correctly activated. You cannot activated auto power off if you are connected to a PC or in data log mode.

I am looking to use this data logger through an oven door which means the thermocouple could be pinched in the closed door. Will this be a problem or can the thermocouples withstand the bending within the closed oven door?

Asked by: cmil
Thank you for your inquiry. Most thermocouple wire can bend and still function in a closed door.

For my application, I plan to connect the data logger to my laptop and let it sit for days to collect the data. If the laptop goes to sleep, does the software on the computer and data loggers keep logging the data?

Asked by: jacob88
Hi Jacob88, Thank you for the inquiry. This would be the real time mode of logging to PC. Logging would be interrupted on occurrence of PC sleep mode. Best regards, OMEGA
