The OS561 is an economical tool for temperature measurements, with non-contact measurement capability, user-friendly 2-key operation, and max and hold modes. The backlit LCD screen and the laser stay on when the trigger is depressed; auto power-off is fixed at 15 seconds for the LCD screen. The OS561 uses 2 “AAA” batteries and has an ultra-long battery life.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works as Advertised Bought this device for cursory measurements of surface temperatures, and it works fine for our purposes. Definitely not a high-precision machine, but that is not what it is advertised as.

Hi, is OS561 IR thermometer usable for medical purpose? I want to use it to check temperature of my staff in the purpose of detecting COVID-19 affected people

Thank you for your interest in our Product. The OS561 is not usable for medical purposes. You may want to consider instead the Handheld IR Omega OS-820D or the IR200 for Non-Contact Body Temperature measurements
