Hi We recently have bought 4 pressure transducers (PXM309-007AI, 2-wire), would you please advise on the wiring of these transducers, how can we get the output signal. We need to connect them to a data acquisition system.
These are a 2-wire, 4 to 20mADC output, loop powered device. The Red wire would connect to the (+) positive side of a DC power supply. This does not have to be regulated. The sensor run on anything between 9 and 30VDC. The Black wire would connect to the (+) positive input side of the device you are reading the signal with. An example would be a DC milliamp meter. You would complete the circuit by connecting the (-) negative input side of this device to the (-) negative output of the power supply.

Can I use this device on flammable liquid or gas?
This sensor is not rated for use with flammable media.

What is supply voltage must I provide? Is the output measured from Output to Excitation(-)? The port size is 1/4". Is that 1/4" NPT, NPTF?
For the 0 to 100mV output units excitation is 5VDC. For the 0 to 5VDC and 4 to 20mADC output units excitation is 9 to 30VDC. For the 0 to 10VDC output units excitation is 15 to 30VDC. Wiring for 100mv is 4 wires (2 Excitation and 2 Signal). Wiring for the 0 to 5VDC and 0 to 10VDC is a 3-wire hookup (+ Exc, Common, +Sig). Wiring for the 4 to 20mA is 2-wire loop powered (+Exc and Signal Return). Fitting is 1/4 NPT Male tread.

Can this be used to measure air, hydraulic oil, water and engine coolant pressures?
Thank you for your inquire
This line of transducers has all stainless wetted parts. That are good for liquid or gas that will not attack stainless
Hope this was helpful
