Failed on First Try
I purchased the type N thermocouple to use for high temperature applications at 1250C. The Omega spec sheet says it should be good to 1338C, or at least to 1260C as listed on other sites. The first time using it at 1250C it failed within ten minutes. It doesn't help trying to figure out what's going wrong that the composition of the sheath, made of Omega-P and Omega-N cannot be found anywhere.

These thermocouple probes are exactly the size and type I needed for my project. Their purchase on the website was easy. Since they were in stock, shipping was fast.
It was a pleasant experience. My suggestion to OMEGA is to make it possible to have a high-resolution magnified view of the items displayed.
