If we connect 4 load cell on the controller, can we set the analog output as an average of the 4 input?
The i-Series displays will only accept a single input signal. The only way they will accept 4 load cells is if you wire the 4 cells together in parallel. You typically would use a summing box. The summing box output would then be an average of the 4 load cell outputs. The analog output can then be scaled to the displayed value on the controller. The built in sensor excitation on the controller does not have enough current capability to power 4 load cells. You will have to provide external excitation to power the load cells

What is the modbus protocol used on this product? (TCP/IP, RTU, ASCII)
If the comm hardware option in the controller is ethernet, then it’s TCP.
If the comm option is serial, then it’s RTU.
Regardless, we don’t recommend using the old iSeries family with Modbus as it is very limited in functionality, & does not use industry standard Modbus...

Is there an update to the iSeries software tool that runs on Windows 10 (ex. iSerCom)
