Product Overview

Omega Link SS-001 Smart Sensors utilize precision internal sensing elements to accurately measure environmental conditions for a wide range of applications.

Long Range

The SS-001 utilizes Sub GHz Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS) technology to ensure robust, long range communications. Transmission ranges of up to 1.2 km can be achieved with the standard AA batteries and transmission ranges of up to 3.2 km can be achieved when powered by a standard 5V micro USB cable2.

Plug and Play

Omega Link Smart Sensors are easily paired to the Omega Link Gateway with the press of a button, and will automatically show up on your Omega Link Cloud Account. The Omega Link Gateway can connect up to 256 Smart Sensors per unit. Local data logging keeps your data secure in the event of a power or network outage. Reports, History, and E-mail alerts from the Omega Link Cloud keep you informed on the status of all your vital processes.

Secure

Omega Link wireless products are designed with state of the art security features to protect your data with robust AES256 encryption and advanced PKAEC521bit (NIST) elliptic-curve cryptography to protect your data.

Advanced Features

Advanced Omega Link features may be configured through SYNC software and include selective data extraction, measurement and device traceability, local alarms and adaptive transmission rates to reduce data congestion and extend battery life.

  • 2. Clear Line of sight. Actual range may vary depending on environment.

Variants
The SS-001 is available in two variants of measurement suites: Temperature and Humidity or Temperature, Humidity, Barometric Pressure, and Light. Both operate on a frequency of 915 MHz

Is the Calibration certificate NIST?

This frequency is not compatible in the UK (915MHz). Do you have a model that will work in the UK?

Are these rated for outdoor use? ie. rain, snow, etc.? Also, is there any kind of application guide for the sensor itself for better readings? Does it matter which way the vent holes face (horizontal or vertical)?

When you say that the unit does not come with a calibration certificate, are you also saying the unit does not require calibration checks because it's sensor accuracies will not be effected by normal external conditions?

Hi Cliff B, Thanks again for your inquiry. Your order will include Certificate of Conformance. You may be referring to NIST traceable certificate with data points which is not included. This is not to indicate the sensors do not require periodic verification. We suggest to verify accuracy on an annual basis. This period can be adjusted for the application. Best regards OMEGA

What is the predicted life span of the sensors to remain within their listed accuracy rates, in the SS-001-1-NA unit.

Calibration? Can these RH/Temperature sensors come with a certification?

Hello, thank you for your question. Unit will come standard with our Certificate of Conformance included. Other calibration certs are not available at this moment, if this changes in the future it will be reflected on the product page.

For the HH507R, is there an alarm for high temperature and how does it sound?

The HH507$ has a High and Low limit feature that when exceeded will result in a series of beeps in a continuous frequency.
