Why is the operating range 0 deg C to 70 deg C? What happens below 0 deg C ambient? I understand the upper operating limit 70 deg C.

Asked by: Gord 70
The operating range defines the range were the IR sensor will meet the specifications. Outside this range the specifications will not be guaranteed and long term performance could be compromised.

Does the osat have to be used with the MTL 5541 to be intrinsically safe or can it be loop powered from a DCS?

Asked by: mjohn
Hi mjohn, Thank you for the request. The OSAT requires use of a certified intrinsically safe isolator to be considered intrinsically safe. The OSAT cannot be powered direct from a common DCS and still be considered intrinsically safe. Best regards, OMEGA
