The HH800 and HH801 handheldsare easy to use Type K inputthermocouple thermometers.Both feature a large 31/2 digit LCDwith a maximum reading of 1999.The HH800 is a single-input modelwhile the HH801 has two inputs andallows for display of T1, T2 or .T(T1-T2). Both models feature T/Coffset adjustment and are °C/°Fswitchable. The HH800A andHH801A offer most of the featuresof the HH800 and HH801, butboth also have data storagecapability and accept J or K Typethermocouples. The HH801B andHH801C offer most of the featuresof the HH801, but they accept fourdifferent thermocouple types. Bothunits feature settable Hi/Lo limitsfor both inputs and have an integralalarm beeper. The HH801Balso features three displays forsimultaneous viewing of bothinputs and the differential.

We were on a tight schedule to receive the HH800 at our facility. We didn't have any issues with timeliness and are very appreciative of Omegas quick & reliable services. The HH800 successfully met it's function & has not seen any quality issues.

Great for checking temperatures for mashing in a beer brew.

The spec sheet and manual have different accuracies. Which is correct? Spec sheet shows ±0.1% rdg + 1C for the entire range. Manual shows a decrease in accuracy to ±0.1% rdg +2C when below -60. There are other small discrepancies as well.
The HH801B has a resolution of 0.1C over the full range and the accuracy is +/-0.1% of reading +1C for -60 to 1372C and +/-0.1% of reading +2C between -220 to -60C. There a several models on the data sheet so send a request for information to temp@omega.com concerning a specific model.

I see the date of calibration certification. How often does the thermometer need to be calibrated?
Thank you for your inquiry. Calibration Certifications are valid for 1 year. Re-calibrations should be performed annually.

Is cold junction compensation temperature sensed directly at the k-type input (ala Fluke 54 and 80TK), or with an internal temp sensor not located on the jack?

Does this meter come with any connectors or leads? Which of your connectors/leads would be most suitable to connect to a kiln type K thermocouple. I will be using it to verify temperatures in a knife heat treating kiln.
