OMEGA™ push-in crimp style contacts are manufactured from thermocouple alloy materials and are generically color-coded for easy identification. Contacts are crimpterminated outside the connector assembly and inserted into the appropriate cavity by means of an insertion tool. They can be readily removed from the connector assembly using a special removal tool. Sealing plugs are available to seal unused positions in lieu of pin or socket.

What is the difference between this contacts and the Crimp-Style Thermocouple Pin & Socket Contacts - Hollow Core (HPC-AL-S)? Which is 5 times the price of MTC-AL-S... Is this good for thermocouple type K (5TC-TT-K-40-72-ROHS), with diameter as 0.08mm?
The MTC pins and sockets are precision machined and used with the MTC housings. The HPC are stamped pins and sockets and are usually used in the SMTC connectors but can be used in MTC housings as well. The MTC's are individual and the HPC come in packs of 20 and both are used with 20 or 24 AWG stranded wires.

What is the total length and maximum diameter of the k-type male and female pins? Thanks!
Thank you for your inquiry. Type K Male (L x D) is (0.915" x 0.040"); Type K Female (L x D) is (0.854" x 0.077")

In what package quantity are the thermocouple pins and sockets in the MTC series? Is the quote price per each, or are multiple items included in an order quantity of one?
These pins are sold individually.
e.g. cost for MTC-IR-P "iron pin" is $16.65 each.
Thank you for your question.

I ordered 2 EA of MTC-5-MC and 2 EA of MTC-5-FF What pins and sockets do i need to purchase for this. They are for connection of non contact infrared temperature sensors to a testing enclosure used to monitor our rebuilt equipment
You will need the copper pins, male and female: MTC-CU-P- and MTC-CU-S. OR if you want them gold-plated for longer lasting connection, use MTC-AU-P and MC-AU-S. Thank you.

I'm looking for a type E pin but the drop down list only shows a K,E option. Do you have just the type E pin?
Thank you for your inquiry. The reason you see the K, E option is because both K type and E type thermocouples use the same alloy for the positive lead and the same applies for the negative lead for J, T and E types. Here are the part numbers for the E type pins: +ve lead - Item# MTC-CH-P, -ve lead - Item# MTC-CO-P.

My copper thermocouple pins (HPC-CU-P) are getting corrosion. They are installed in a MTC-24-MC connector with a MTC-24-SHL back shell. Have you seen this before? Any advice on how to prevent or slow this down?
Hi JackW,
We do not offer a water sealing boot to fit the MTC series unfortunately. 3rd party supplier may offer protective boot to cover the MTC connectors. We have a boot to cover the SMPW and OSTW connectors but nothing similar for the MTC's.
Best regards
OMEGA
