The OMEGA™ HHF-SD2 combination vane and standard thermistor anemometer with SD card data logger has multiple features that make it suitable to use in such applications as air conditioning and heating systems, measuring air velocities and wind temperature. What sets the HHF-SD2 apart from other vane anemometers is that it incorporates a real-time SD card data logger.

The HHF-SD2 measures velocity, and air temperature, and has an input socket that accepts a Type J or K thermocouple that can be used as a highly accurate thermometer. The vane and standard thermistors provide high accurate readings at high velocities.

The HHF-SD2 is innovative and easy to operate. Download data from the SD card into an Excel spreadsheet without the need for special software.

per a previous question regarding real-time data readout on a computer, if this is not possible, then what is the purpose of the usb and the rs232 output jack? If the data can not be transferred in real time then why include those features?

Asked by: user 4242
Thank you for your inquiry and the purpose of the RS232 connection is for data transfer purposes, unfortunately, it does not allow for real-time display

Can the hot wire probe replacement be attached to this device in place of the vane?

Asked by: sam1
Unfortunately, the probes cannot be interchanged with each other. The probe is specifically calibrated for each individual probe.

To be able to record airflow , and determine a minimum flow for application, we want to monitor airflow. I'M looking to transfer date continuously direct into a computer. Can we do this with this anemometer or do you have something else to suggest ?

Asked by: Alain T
Thank you fro your inquiry about the anemometer. This unit uses a “recording session” model for data logging. Meaning that the unit records for X amount of time (session), and after the recording is completed the SD card can be removed from the unit and inserted into a computer to view that recorded data after the session. This unit does not have the ability to display readings to a computer as the readings are being taken, all viewing on the computer would be done after recording. Please email to flow@omega.com and can provide a potential substitute.

How long is the probe cable?

Asked by: Chris O
Thank you for your inquiry. The cable length is approximately 3 feet and there is no option for longer lengths.
