The CN7400 Series temperature/process FM-approved limit controllers set a new standard in 1/16 DIN limit controls. They have universal inputs (10 thermocouple and 4 RTD types, voltage, and current). Standard features include remote reset capability. Outputs include normally open (form 'A') and normally closed (form 'B') relays. Form 'A' and form 'B' relays can be set up for each setpoint output and logically linked to emulate a form 'C' output.

Good Process Limit Controller
I used this model to replace the discontinued model CN63500-R1-AL2 . I combined 2 NO and NC Relays to create a form C Relay similar to old model, also I did required setup to get expected result. This model has various options in setup pages that can be used in any Process Limit Control Application.

Can you connect two thermocouples measuring approximately the same temperature in parallel to the input?
Hi Marina,
Thank you for the inquiry. Connecting 2 TC's in parallel will not provide reliable indication of temperature.
Best regards
OMEGA

Does the CN7430 model come with a high temperature alarm? I need it to sound when temperatures exceed the setpoint.
Thank you for your inquiry. The CN7430 does not have a built in audible alarm but you can use the NO relay to connect an external audible alarm to it.

Can this be connected to a high limit contactor to shut down all power if set temperature is exceeded?
Yes, the usual purpose of a limit Controller is to do just that to prevent damage to product, equipment or possible injury to personnel.

Is this product suitable for a 4-wire 100-ohm RTD?
Thank you for your inquiry. This controller supports 3-Wire RTDs. For 4-Wire RTDs, use the CNi16D or CN16DPT Series controllers.
