The FTB-1400 turbine flow meter is designed to meet the demands of the most rigorous flow measurement applications. Originally developed for the secondary oil recovery market, the FTB-1400 is an ideal meter for liquid flow measurement on or off the oilfield. The meter features a 316 stainless steel housing and rotor support, CD4MCU stainless steel rotor, and abrasion-resistant tungsten carbide rotor shaft and journal bearings. These materials help the meter to maintain accuracy and mechanical integrity when measuring the corrosive and abrasive fluids found in many industries.

Fluid entering the meter first passes through an inlet flow straightener that reduces its turbulent flow pattern. Fluid then passes through the turbine, causing the turbine to rotate at a speed proportional to fluid velocity. As each turbine blade passes through the magnetic field generated by the meter's magnetic pick-up, an AC voltage pulse is generated. These pulses provide an output frequency that is proportional to volumetric flow.

Could this be used with liquid nitrogen? (-196 C)

Asked by: coolMotors
Thank you for your inquiry! Unfortunately, the FTB-1400 series meters are only rated for down to -101C and would not be suited for -196C

Is it possible for this flow meter to operate with its exterior submerged? If so, up to what external pressure will it tolerate?

Asked by: mfeltis
Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately, it is not recommended to use this flow meter for submersible applications.

Could this be used for Gaseous Oxygen?

Asked by: Yetziell
Thank you for your inquiry about the turbine flow meter. This series of flow meters is only for liquids, not gases. The FMA1700/1800A or FMA-A2000 series mass flow meters would be a good suggestion to review.

Do you have any flow meters for water that have a suitable wireless r Ethernet interface that has an existing corresponding Windows APP to log instantaneous rate versus time and total floww accumulation?

Asked by: LAM1
Thank you for your inquiry about the turbine flow meter. Unfortunately, there is no 'Smart flow meter sensor' available, although, the Picomag is a magnetic flow meter that has Bluetooth features that may be a better alternative.

Would this be suitable for a low flow steam application? ROUGH flow range of about 6 to 82 kg/hr @ 75 psi, 160 Deg C.

Asked by: EI_C
Thank you for your inquiry. The turbine flow meter is ideal for water or liquids, not steam.
