In the data specs, is "TD" referring to "Total Differential"?

Asked by: abc123
TD means Turn Down, it is the ratio of the full-scale output over the current scaled output. Turndown = nominal range of the device/set span of the device

Being outside the measurement range, can I have one side at 1 bar and the other at 100 bar? Or do I break the membrane ? (e.g. PX3005-150dwi sensors)

Asked by: PARQ
Hello, we do not recommend using this device outside the calibrated range. The diaphragm could see plastic deformation that could affect your zero and span balance. It would be best to go with a higher range.

What is the approximate volume of one side of the cell? (We need to fill one side of a cell that is already installed with a relatively exotic fluid)

Asked by: LabWizard
Cavity volume of the process connection on the PX3005 Differential Transmitters in not readily available. Please contact our pressure product applications engineers directly at pressure@omgea.com. They will assist you in acquiring this information.

Of the ports that are marked (H) and (L), which of the two is the (IN) port and which one is the (OUT) port.?

Asked by: Emdott83
This is not a flow through sensor. The pressure applied to each port react on a internal diaphragm. The unit internally calculates the differential between the two applied pressures and output a signal represents this differential.

Just to confirm. The "WET/WET" means it is measuring pressure differential in fluid not in gasses. Correct?

Asked by: MarkM
Thank you for your inquire The units that state wet wet can be used in liquid or gas.

I can range the -1000 to 1000 "H2O DP Transmitter to 0-278 "H2O. correct?

Asked by: belzebub
Yes they can. These unit are actually scalable so you can turn down the range of the unit do give you the full 4 to 20mA output signal over 0 to 278" wc.
