How do I attach the mating connectors- I assume these are the nut and two piece cone shaped objects- to a new SCASS-062G-6 thermocouple? I pulled them off an old one, how do I reattach them to a new one?
The mating connectors are the "female" flat-pin connectors, and they just "slide" right on. if you are referring to replacing the male connector of the original probe, then that just disassembles by two screws for the cap, and then two screws under the cap. Remove and then reverse procedure to put the new on one.

What is the time constant for the 0.032" probe in 304 stainless steel
Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately, we do not provide specific time constant for our sensors due to environmental conditions affect the time response directly. Here is the link to all the information we can provide about time response for thermocouples: https://www.omega.co.uk/temperature/z/thermocoupleresponsetime.html

Using the SCAXL-062G-36 to measure some cell voltage inside a Kiln at 850C, what connectors can be used inside the Kiln to extend the TC probe?
Hi AnnaH,
Thank you for the inquiry. We do not offer a connector rated to 850 C. Highest rated connectors are the ceramic style (SHX and NHX) with a limit of 650 C.
Best regards,
OMEGA

Where throughout the probe is the temperature taken from? From the tip of the probe or is it an average? This is concerning a temperature measurement that may vary based on the exact point that is being measured. thanks!
Thank you for your inquiry! The hot junction is where the temperature is detected, and it's located at about the first quarter-inch of the probe.

Do the bodies for the SCAxx-125y-6 have screws to open the body in order to replace/repair the probe?
Yes, you can remove the two screws on the yellow connector cap to reveal two more screws that secure the two wires from the thermocouple to the (+) and (-) terminals on the connector.

I am interested in SICSS-040U thermocouples in length of 24", 30", 36", 42", and 48". When I check model options on-line, I find that only 24" and 36" lengths are available as standard. Is it possible to get the other three length of interest as custom?
Thank you for your inquiry. Yes, you can customize the probe on the website itself by clicking on the blue "Configure Now" button on the top of the webpage. If you need assistance with that, please call 1-888-826-6342 to speak to our Temperature Application Engineers.
