SHX subminiature connectors are ideal for use with fine gage thermocouple wires in applications where high temperatures are required. The SHX connector is permanently dot-coded to conform to ANSI and OMEGA standards for applications such as high vacuum furnaces where contamination would adversely affect the process, USHX connectors are shipped with a removable color-coding dot. Two-piece ceramic construction assures long life, while the oversized terminal screws allow for easy wiring.

Works as advertised
Connectors work as advertised although being ceramic they crack easily with rough handling.
Note: Strain relief clamps are also needed to facilitate holding the attached cable in place.

Hight temp connector
I like the firm hold on the connectors but did not realize how fragile the cover assembly is. I broke the cover with only moderate tightening of the screws.
I was a little more cautious on the next assembly and it was ok.

Reliable performance at high temperatures
These connectors perform well under environments well above temperatures where plastic connectors fail. Their reliability is critical in our high temperature heat exchanger testing.

We are having the screws for the thermocouple wires loosening up after some time. The connectors USHX-K see 125 Deg to 25 Deg C in an oven. Is there a method to stake or secure the screws?
Thank you for the inquiry. We do not have a securing method unfortunately. Torque spec for the screws are 3.9 inch-pounds.
Best regards

What does the term 'temperature range' imply? Does it refer to the maximum temperature that all components can withstand, or is it specifically associated with the calibration temperature range? Can a 260°C connector withstand a 400°C baking process?
Concerning temperature range of connectors it is the exposure temperature they can endure so if it is rated to 260C that is it's maximum temperature it can withstand.
