OMEGA’s new surface temperature Connector offers a fast, easy way to measure surface temperatures. Just plug the STC100 into your handheld thermometer and you’re ready to take readings. The small, compact connector body features an integral thermocouple sensor specifically designed for low temperature surface measurements and can be easily removed for cleaning or replacement if damaged. Models feature miniature male connection pins and are available in K or E calibrations.

Only Thermocouple to read Surface Temperature
I have been getting accurate readings with the STC-100-K-SMP-M because it puts the entire thermocouple on the surface (eliminating the error you get with probe type thermocouples).
