The OS200-Series is designed to be a screening device to measure body temperature without contact. Features a visual and audible alarm when set temperature limits are crossed. This infrared thermometer measures body temperatures from 89.6°F to 108.5°F (32.0°C to 42.5°C) and surface temperatures from 32°F to 140°F (0.0°C to 60.0°C). Ideal for use when measuring body temperature on individuals forehead with a distance of 1.9” to 5.9” (5 to 15cm).
The OS200-Series is good for initial screening in areas such as: large gatherings, buildings, factories, and schools/universities. The non-contact benefit of using the OS200-Series thermometer could reduce the spread of infectious diseases.

Will I need to calibrate this thermometer before using?
The IR200 has a stated accuracy of +/- 0.5F (+/- 0.3C) and is offered with a CAL-1 Document no charge . This is a Certificate of Conformance that documents that the product you buy comply with the specifications specified on our website.
We can also offer as an option , a Certificate of Calibration that is traceable to NIST for an addition charge. For details, please email your calibration requirements to temperature@omega.com

Will this thermometer work when the ambient temperature is below 40/45 degrees F?
The IR200 measures Surface Temperature Range 32 to 140°F (0 to 60°C)
If the temperature goes below 32°F or 0°C, “Lo” will appear in the display.
