Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thankful I bought this product a month ago and I am so happy using it. Thank you so much

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Fragile and dangerous Generally menacing and fragile. The nichrome wire pulls out of the copper connection if you look at it funny; the nichrome also has no coating except the fabric, which means if the fabric frays or something sharp happens to poke it you have a short and a good start towards a fire or electrocution. Two stars because I haven't found an alternative.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No Better Choice! The product and the customer service I’ve received has been outstanding. The product works better than I hoped for, and I received in a timely, professional manner. All in all, I’ve had a great experience working with Omega and plan to continue contacting them with my future needs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keeping gas in supply lines from liquifying I purchased several of these rope heaters to keep the tubings of CL2, BCL3 and SiCL4 feeding our processing tool warm, so that the gas does not liquify in the lines and clog the mass flow meters. These worked well, and were easy to wrap round the 1/4" tubing. I used a temperature controller to set temperature to 25 degrees C

is it can be on constantly? Is the condensation of the pipe can damage the heater? Is it applicable to be use with conduct materials ? for example iron or cooper?

Asked by: Lee barquer
The heater can be on constantly. The heater can be wrapped around a metal pipe. The heater should no be used in an environment that the potential of moisture settling on the insulation. Due to the insulation being braided, the moisture could ingress into the heating elements and short the heater.

Since the title says "120-240V", but there's no 240 V while editing the model, I have to ask just to be sure, can the 120V model of this be used on 240V supplies while reaching the same temperatures? (Since the current is halved basically).

Asked by: F Mora
Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately, you cannot operate this 120 V heater with a 240 V supply voltage.
