Omega’s new DPF20 Series of indicators offer real flexibility for measurement of a wide range of frequency or pulse inputs. The display is easily configured to indicate frequency, rate, period or count. This makes the meter ideal for flow applications where they can display flow rate or total from a variety of different flow sensors. Or for quadrature signals, to indicate angular position or rotational speed and direction.
The DPF20 series offers exceptional performance at an economical price, with some unique and powerful features.

Feature | Description |
Scaling | Multiply, divide and preset values |
Alarms |
|
Power up delay | Allows for a delay in the start-up time after powering the instrument. During this time the instrument performs no measurement or control. |
Display Brightness | Select from 5 levels of LED intensity. |
Password | Password protect the configuration menu. |
Max / min memory | Front panel key selection of display minimum or maximum values |
Sensor Type | The fast and simple way to configure a sensor. Select from a predefined list Eg. NPN, PNP, Namur, pick-up, inductive, etc. |
Trigger sense | Simple selection of the optimal trigger level for the sensor input. The display indicates up or down reflecting the status of the input signal level. When the LED changes state continuously the optimal trigger level has been achieved. |

Good box, poor manual
Features as advertised, just hard to find in the text. If the manual were laid out with the clarity of older Omega products, it would have received more stars.

DPT20 transmitter with FPR304 meter.
A compact indicator/transmitter. Easy to set up. I used it with an omega FPR304 meter. Would have liked to see specific configuration in the manual for Omega products. Missed ensuring the pull up resistor setting was set ON. Simple to fix. Would have liked to be able to enter a setpoint rather than use an alarm point. Probably a feature for a different transmitter but immediate need dictated selection.

I have a DPF20-LV, I was testing the functions and added a password. Now 3 months later I do not recall what that password was, How to I break the pass to get into the unit to see the setting and scaling I used or worst case how do i reset the whole unit.
Master password is 000007

Could a DPF20-HV-AO display be setup with an FTB-1400 series flow meter to measure flow rates? The flow meter has a magnetic pickup sensor producing a 30 mV/P-P signal.
Yes. The FTB-1400 series is compatible with rate/totalizer display DFP20-HV-AO

I would like to know if the DPF20 is compatible with FTB4707 Water Flow Sensor... to measurement the GPM.
Yes. The DPF20 is compatible with FTB4707 water flow sensor to measure flow rate (GPM) or total gallons.

I am replacing a DPF20. The old rt6 settings are 006000 for the MuLt and 133 for the diV. The diV is the K Factor of the meter, but how is the MuLt determined? I could just enter the numbers, but I want to make sure it is right. Flow Meter is a FPD2305.
Thank you for your inquiry. The MULT is time in hours, minutes, or seconds and if the K-factor is 133 which goes into DIV, then, the MULT should be 60 to reflect time in minute to have the display show gallons per minute.

I have am Omega DPF20, using Conf.6 ratemeter function. When attempting to choose Sensor option, it will not save. I try to select PnP3 however it always resets after I press the LE key. The 3 horizontal bars do flash to indicate the saving.
Thank you for your inquiry about the meter. Once you select the configuration input, it will save and if you let it time out, it will also save. If still having an issue, please forward to our Flow, Level, and Environmental Group at flow@omega.com

I need to limit the maximum speed of a high speed 3-phase alternator by connecting it to a braking resistor bank via relay. How quickly does this device activate one of the solid state outputs (T1 or SSR) after the signal frequency reaches the trip value?
Thank you for your inquiry about the DPF20 meter. Please email flow@omega.com and can provide the response in detail per your request.
