The pinless HHMM257 handheld moisture meter incorporates a moisture sensor that monitors the moisture in wood and other building materials without causing surface damage. High frequency sensing technology allows the meter to take non-invasive moisture measurements. The HHMM257 has an easy-to-read backlit LCD display that can be manually turned on or off. User programmable alarms alert the user if moisture measurements exceed alarm set-points. This meter is shipped fully tested and calibrated, and with proper use, will provide years of reliable service.

Considering I would like to use this equipment on the production line to determine the correct moment to release parts from the gypsum mold, what is the minimum time between the measurements without a new calibration (same environment conditions)?

Thank you for the inquiry. The moisture measure is for inspection purposes. We do not offer NIST traceable calibration for the moisture measurement. For calibration cycle we suggest an annual basis, but this should be reviewed based on your application conditions.

could this unit be used to check moisture content in flour

This unit may not be sensitive enough for the light flour. We do not have test information on powder. Alternate to try is the HHGM68.

will this device measure moisture in Styrofoam and Cardboard?
Thank you for the inquiry. Readings are relative only. Manual gives expected range of readings for wood, gypsum, and cement. Some materials may not have enough water content to provide good response.
