The LC8300 Series Donut Load Cell is an economical solution to applications requiring a through-hole design. With its extremely low profile and compact design, this load cell is ideal for applications such as clamping forces, bolt loading forces and other compressive loads. This series, with its all stainless steel construction and environmental protection, have a proven reliability in tough industrial applications.

I have an application for this model which consist in 3 load cells connected to a J-Box 4800 which will be 100ft away. Can I use Wire nuts or terminal blocks to bond the load an extension?

Does the load need to be evenly distributed across the face for accurate measurement? Or can the load contact only one side of the face?

I need a LC8300-150-10K with 15ft long cable, is there a specific part # for such cable length?

Yes. You can get a LC8300-1.50-10K load cell with an extra long cable but this would have to be a custom quotation. Please contact Omega info@omega.com for a quote. Typical lead time for a custom variant of this load cell would be 8 weeks ARO.

Can you explain how best to apply a load to this specific model? I have been using a 2.25" ball bearing to rest on the sensing area of the load cell and applying a load with a reference standard.
